Portrait: Michelle Mullins Nunnery (littlebittiebear, USA)
Published: June 2014 Michelle, please describe your creations with your own words.
I want to make my bears with enduring faces that bring a smile to the young and old. I work mostly on my eyes to make sure they capture someone's attention. If I can make someone smile or get that "ahhh" expression, then I feel like I have done what I love to do.

How do you get ideas or inspiration for new creations?
Through animals in nature.
What do like most when making them?
Watching TV in the living room.
Do you have a dream regarding your work as a teddy bear artist?
I dream to design creations for Disney one day.
What does your creative work mean to you?
It is my life dream job, so I am doing what I love.
Which sizes and materials do you prefer?
Bears around 6 inches (15 cm) and good quality plush.
Do you have a favourite bear?
Yes, my bear Chrissy.
Do you have special future plans?
Yes, but that's a surprise!!
Did you ever experience something special that you'll never forget?
Yes, several customers have bought bears for loved ones that were sick, or in hospital and they said my bear made them feel better. That is very rewarding.
Please tell us something about the place where you live.
I live in Panama City Florida, in the USA. It is near the ocean, where it is warm and sunny. It's a terrific vacation spot.
Tell us something about the local teddy bear scene.
There is no local teddy bear scene here. I wish there was, so I could be involved with more artists.
Do you think that your bears are influenced by your home place?
Yes, I love nature and we have beautiful scenery here. So the animals I encounter have a lot to do with my creations.
